Deploy Application Database Tiers for VMs Computation
In this deployment, the database tiers and application are deployed in distinct sets of Compute VMs. There’s also an option available to deploy multiple application tiers on distinct compute VMs that use Load Balancer as-a-service (LBaaS).
Deploy Application Tier to Compute VMs and Database Tiers to DBaaS
Similar to previous deployment, the application tier is deployed on a compute VM, or multiple application tiers can be deployed on distinct compute VMs that use LBaaS. And the database might be deployed to a Database Cloud Service Single Instance VM to a DB System Single Instance on Bare Metal, or an Exadata Database.
If an Exadata Database is chosen, then RAC is deployed by default. However, Oracle offers automated provisioning capabilities to deploy and run Oracle EBS as a demo.
Deploy Application Tier to Compute VMs and Database Tier to Oracle RAC
Be it a two node Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) virtual machine DB system or an Oracle Exadata DB, you can deploy them anyways possible. Whatever the requests received from the application tier are load balanced across the database instances. If you consider deploying Oracle EBS in multiple availability domains to enable high availability, the need for Oralce Data Guard in synchronous mode must be chosen that replicates database changes across the database wherever it’s available.
